Spring cleaning in the garden

We finally made it over to our plot in the community garden. We were greeted by So Many weeds. Here’s our plot, between the pink lines:

Oof. It was an exercise to pull all those weeds; they had put down some roots. In the end we managed to get most of it out and covered it all with straw. It will be another couple weeks before we get around to putting seeds in, so didn’t want those buggers coming back.

The straw may look haphazard here but we were working it around the asparagus plants.
